The Lost World Concept Art - Maiasaura Color Design
Seriously have no idea why I've dodged this for so long. Yet now is a gooder than any... so last year the concept arts for the 3 cut Jurassic Park hadrosaurs Corythosaurus, Hadrosaurus and Maiasaura) were revealed; unfortunately no color descriptions were given for the Maiasaura or Hadrosaurs (until further release) thought it be fun to make some interesting color designs.
A) The first color design is inspired from paleoartist Phil Wilson; the way he colored his hadrosaurs was simple but captivating. A simple tan/yellow with blueish stripes.

C) This one is in tribute to the late paleoartist, James Field (God rest his poor soul). Much of his artwork always captured my eye and choose his Stegosaurus piece as a good choice for this steppe or desert design.
D) Not too sure where the inspiration originates here... pretty sure stems from Wilson's pieces again. Decided in keeping the white stripes on the beak and crest to provide more contrast.

F) With this design, I--ironically--took some inspiration from Jurassic Park's own female Rex. I believe this is inspired from Don Bluth's The Land Before Time in some way.

H) Blue isn't usually color found in nature but is a common favorite among paleoart in the 20th century.

K) The final design. Before coming out with the others this was the first one I thought about.
